American Made
For Vault Sports Box founders Trevin Hermosillo and Arthur Mayo, ‘Made in America’ isn’t a marketing catch phrase but a core value of their company. “It’s a real source of pride for us,” says Hermosillo. “And I’m not sure you could find a better place to call home.” Home is Columbia Falls, Montana, where the 14,000 square-foot Vault Sports Box headquarters is surrounded by the Whitefish, Flathead and Lewis Ranges of the Northern Rockies and sits a mere seventeen miles from Glacier National Park. It’s an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, renown for fishing, hiking, skiing, and cycling.
Due to the highly technical requirements of Vault Sports Box’s plastic injection formula, the main components are produced in Spokane, Washington and then brought to Columbia Falls for assembly, inspection and shipping. It’s a time-consuming, hands-on process, but both Mayo and Hermosillo understand that rolling up their sleeves is the only way to ensure the highest quality product. “Every week I make the ten-hour round-trip drive to Spokane,” explains Hermosillo. “It’s just what you have to do. What I’ve always done. The Montana way.”
