Thomas Inigo

Thomas Inigo is a professional triathlete and coach in Boulder, Colorado. He grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia playing elite and Olympic development soccer, plus basketball, lacrosse and golf, and ran competitively. He went to the University of Virginia and graduated from the Curry School of Education in 2021 with a B.S. in Kinesiology, then got into a doctor of physical therapy program.

He never started it. In the summer of 2021 he was hit by a car while riding, and had to defer. Swimming was the first thing he was cleared to do in recovery, which is how he found triathlon. He raced age group through 2023, qualified at the 70.3 World Championship in Lahti, Finland that September, earned his pro card at 70.3 Augusta, and turned pro in the spring of 2024.

His first race as a pro was 70.3 Oceanside in April 2024, the first event of the inaugural Ironman Pro Series. He finished his first full-distance Ironman at Cozumel in November 2025 in 8:44:04. He coaches alongside racing, with a physiology and physical therapy background that shows up in how he builds athletes: ready for race day, and still functional the rest of the year.
